Introduction
This course is ideal for maintenance engineers that require the range of
skills needed to work in the areas of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Aims
To equip delegates with the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out
maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning
systems.

- Health & Safety
- Basic Vapour: Compression Cycle
- Refrigeration Principles - Evaporating and Vapourization
- Leak Detecting - Electronic and Halide
- Basic Electrics - Compressors, starters, pressure switches, thermostats
- Fault Finding - Practical exercises on Superheat
- Temperature/Pressure relationship
- Psychometrics - Sling, psychrometer, temperature and dew point, Wet and
dry bulb
- Heat Pumps - four way valves - solenoid and system structure
- Theory to support the practical
Delivery Method
A series of theory and practical sessions, giving practical experience to
service personnel.

Five days
Certification
Certificates will be issued to delegates assessed to an acceptable level of competence.
