Tony (Mel Smith) is an architect who is working on a very large and important building project. He is so involved in choosing the colour scheme for the lift, that he fails to apply for planning permission. By concentrating on the things he enjoys doing, rather than the things he should be doing, Tony puts the whole project in jeopardy, wasting not only his own time and energy, but also that of his colleague (Griff Rhys Jones).
