The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989

Introduction

Safety at work is the responsibility of employers and employees alike, and acceptance of this responsibility is fundamental to ensure safe working practice.

The new Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 came into force on April 1 1990. The Act concerns all employers, employees and suppliers who are responsible for the maintenance, servicing and installation of electrical equipment or services. This short course is intended for any personnel involved with any kind of electrical work in the work-place.

Aims

To give delegates the knowledge and understanding needed to satisfy the requirements of the new regulations.
